Job Details Job Location: BENEDICT COLLEGE - COLUMBIA, SC 29204 Teach courses in the discipline as assigned by the dean or chair; provide academic advising to students; maintain an active scholarly agenda of research and service; serve on departmental, school, and college committees; engage in assessment requirements; participate in community service and outreach programs; and work collaboratively with colleagues and other programs. Teach 12 sch per semester Provide advising to assigned students Participate in curriculum development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and co-curricular enhancements Serve on committees on department, school, and college levels Engage in scholarly research appropriate for rank Participate in public service initiatives Qualifications Record of (or demonstrated potential for) successful college teaching Familiarity with development and implementation of courses using Open Educational Resources and virtual platforms Demonstrated interest in facilitating student learning and engagement Demonstrated commitment to professional responsibilities, student development, and service Minimum Qualifications Earned master’s degree in the teaching discipline Commitment to excellence in college teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning Ability to demonstrate collegiality and a sound work ethic Preferred Qualifications One (1) or more years of teaching experience in higher education Record of teaching effectiveness Experience with learning management systems and online teaching and learning #J-18808-Ljbffr
