Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity spans from September 16, 2026, through January 29, 2027, providing vital support during an FMLA leave. This multifaceted position involves working across several settings, including elementary and private schools, as well as early childhood programs. The role is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic educational environments and are passionate about supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist in Wisconsin
- Demonstrated experience completing academic assessments for Special Education evaluations
- Background in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and participating in Student Support Team (SST) meetings
- Familiarity with play-based assessment techniques for early childhood (ages 2-5)
- Ability to collaborate thoughtfully with school social workers and interdisciplinary staff
- Skilled in crisis response and intervention within a school setting
- Experience with private school evaluations and assessments highly valued
Role Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in SST meetings and contribute insights from classroom observations and FBAs
- Complete comprehensive academic assessments to inform Special Education eligibility decisions
- Conduct play-based EC diagnostics once weekly for children aged 2-5
- Collaborate closely with school social workers to create holistic support plans
- Provide crisis response support as situations arise, ensuring student safety and well-being
- Lead and complete evaluations for private school students as required
