Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, is seeking a highly motivated and service-minded individual to join the CUT Kitchen team. 

The Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group has established CUT and CUT Lounge with the objectives of providing a unique cuisine paired with a special ambiance in order to create a memorable fine dining experience for our guests.  CUT and CUT Lounge are part of our continuous effort to offer superlative quality and the highest level of gracious and courteous guest service.  To perform successfully, CUT and CUT Lounge employees must not only have the qualifications and abilities to perform each of the essential functions of this position, but also must continually strive to meet or surpass The Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group's objectives and exacting standards.

Responsibilities

To prepare food items per guest orders in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment

Prepare food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis-en-place and set-up station for food service. Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not prepare beyond estimated needs. Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill. Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables; assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies.

Qualifications: 

• Previous professional kitchen experience in a restaurant, hotel, or comparable culinary environment required.

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.

• Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistent portion sizes, and execute dishes according to established quality and presentation standards.

• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, proper food storage, temperature control, and product rotation.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to maintain an orderly workstation, prepare mise en place, and manage multiple tasks.

• Ability to work collaboratively with the culinary team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

• Ability to receive direction, respond positively to feedback, and adapt to changing business needs.

• Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Food handler certification as required by applicable local regulations.

Hourly Rate

First 9 months: $28.98 (80% of contract rate)

Next 8 Months: $32.59 (90% of contract rate)

Full Contract rate: $36.21
