Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney in Charleston, South Carolina. The attorney will represent the firm and its clients, enhancing its reputation. Responsibilities Handle cases from inception through trial, including drafting discovery pleadings and motions. Take and defend depositions. Participate in client intake and trial preparation. Formulate and develop case strategy, advising clients on risk mitigation. Conduct research and manage comprehensive case details. Oversee the discovery process and supervise junior attorneys and staff. Engage in mediation and arbitration as needed. Requirements Minimum 4-6+ years of litigation experience in state and federal courts. First chair experience preferred; second chair considered. Licensed to practice and in good standing in South Carolina. Portable book of business preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in South Carolina. Skills Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of state and federal court procedures. Significant courtroom experience. Ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially.
