About the Opportunity
A growing South Florida real estate development company is seeking a Project Accountant to join its accounting team. This position supports the accounting and financial reporting activities for real estate development projects and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the accounting and financial reporting for assigned real estate development projects.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger activities.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data and support project reporting.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Three or more years of accounting experience.
- Experience as a Project Accountant or in real estate development accounting preferred.
- Yardi experience is required.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and the month-end close process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
