Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Laboratory Accessioning Supervisor to join our team in Greenville, NC.This position operates on a bi-weekly rotating shift, alternating between day and evening shifts every two weeks; Monday- Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm & 3:30pm- 12:30am &, weekends as needed.Job Responsibilities:Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accessioning departmentAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testingDirectly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the departmentMonitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverageResponsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffedResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documentsMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentResponsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresProcess and maintain payroll and personnel filesPerform administrative duties as neededMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent2 years' or more of relevant experience in clinical laboratory environmentPreferred Qualifications:Associates degree1 year or more supervisory or leadership experience1 year or more of prior distribution experienceAdditional Job Standards:Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skills; both written and verbalAble to pass a standardized color blindness testHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
