What You'll Do:
- Plan, organize, facilitate, and promote innovative Therapeutic Recreation programs.
- Assess and respond to the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of sub-acute/rehab patients.
- Design age-appropriate activities that accommodate a variety of needs and abilities.
- Transport residents safely to and from recreation areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to support individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical chart documentation, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy (or equivalent) plus minimum 2 years of therapeutic recreation experience.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred.
- Experience working with frail, medically fragile, or elderly populations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to create and implement unique, engaging programs that enrich residents' lives.
- Familiarity with medical chart documentation and care planning (SigmaCare a plus!).
