Recreation Therapist
Rosaires Care - San José
The Recreation Therapist plans, organizes, and supervises recreational activities to promote healthy leisure, socialization, and skill development for youth in a human services setting. Develops and delivers diverse programs, including arts, sports, and community trips, aligned with treatment plans. Supervises recreation facilities and ensures safety through inspections and maintenance. Assists youth via role modeling and skill-building, documenting progress and participating in treatment team meetings. Supervises activities for up to three youth and supports special events. Completes reports, maintains safety standards, and performs basic repairs. Required qualifications include a relevant bachelor’s degree, youth recreation experience, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, conflict resolution, and ethical conduct is essential. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
