Broadcast Engineer

- 6-month contract (Possibility of temp to perm)
- $50-$55/hr + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
- Onsite (Stamford, CT)
Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line broadcast engineering and technical support across multiple studios and control rooms within the Stamford Sports facility.
- Support all broadcast systems and technology for live day-of-air programs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and systems.
- Comply with computer security policies.
- Manage projects that include system design, integration, and commissioning.
- Perform system-level troubleshooting of technical facilities, including control rooms, studio equipment, audio equipment, and associated computer systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on studio and control room equipment.
- Assist Studio Operations with technical setup in control rooms and studios.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement technical solutions that meet production initiatives.
- Install and update equipment and systems software.
- Repair and troubleshoot equipment to the module level using industry-standard test equipment.
- Manage projects, design systems, and assist with system integration and commissioning.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or broadcasting.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networks.
- Knowledge of digital TV (HDSDI).
- Proficiency in software-driven broadcast video equipment.
- Ability to read and understand system signal flow diagrams for television control room and studio facilities.
- Proficient in Chyron graphic systems
- Experience with Avid Media Composer and Avid Interplay
- Experience in system design, AutoCAD, and project management
- Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards
