Job Summary:
The ICU Nurse position is located in South Charleston, West Virginia. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing critical care within an intensive care unit environment, supporting patients with complex needs and life-threatening conditions, including invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, sepsis management, and ventilator support. The position requires two years of critical care experience and travel experience.

Job Details:

• Location: South Charleston, West Virginia
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, nights typically from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, with rotational weekend and holiday requirements.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), two years of critical care experience, ICU experience, travel experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float to Stepdown and occasionally to medical-surgical or telemetry units; float to Med-Surg is rare, and float in rotation; not always the first to float.
• Additional Information: The unit has no nurse aids, with a nurse-to-patient ratio generally at 1:2, sometimes 1:3 in overflow or PCU scenarios. The ICU utilizes advanced RT equipment, telemetry, and specialty beds, and is supported by a hospitalist 24/7. Orientation includes hospital-wide and unit-specific training, computer training, and shifts with a preceptor.
