Participant Services Representative (bilingual)

• Compensation: $18-$20 per hour

• Location: Chicago, Illinois
• Work Model: On-site, five days per week
• Employment Type: Contract-to-hire

• Handle inbound calls regarding healthcare benefits, eligibility and claims
• Research and resolve participant questions while coordinating with internal teams
• Explain healthcare benefit plans, policies and eligibility requirements
• Maintain accurate participant records across claims and eligibility systems
• Review documentation, verify information and request additional records as needed
• Coordinate claim adjustments, payment corrections and reimbursement recoveries
• Explain medical, disability, life insurance and illness and injury benefit programs
• Process stop payments, void requests and other benefit-related transactions
• Maintain electronic documentation while following HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• Collaborate across departments to resolve participant concerns and improve processes

• Previous call center, customer service, healthcare, insurance or benefits administration experience preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving, organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional approach to confidential and sensitive information
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
