Caregiver PositionWe are seeking talented, caring, and compassionate caregivers to work with us in providing exceptional in-home care to people of all ages. We serve the communities of Howard and Anne Arundel Counties, Laurel, Bowie and Catonsville. We are looking for certified caregivers, ready to provide quality in-home care, but also to develop an enriching meaningful relationship with our clients. Your role as a certified caregiver helps them to live life to their fullest. This position allows for a full scope of interaction with the client in their home including assistance with their activities of daily living, maintaining their home environment, and keeping them engaged with the outside world.Seeking caregivers who:Retain a current Maryland state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensePossibly have other valid credentials such as: GNA, HHA, PCA, MTAre reliable, dependable, honest, and caringPossess effective communication skillsHave a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and up to date auto insuranceAre able to recognize and report changes in their clients care needsPossess a current CPR/First Aid certificationMajor responsibilities:Assisting the agency's clients with their personal care and ADL's in accordance with the care plan and CNA qualificationsMay be required to take clients to appointment or run errandsMust complete 12 hours of company provided training per yearKnowledge, skills and abilities required:Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facilityPerform duties with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the clientMust meet hiring criteria as defined in the agency's minimum standardsMust accept responsibility for maintaining skills and learning on an on-going basis, as well as honoring agency policiesMust pass all background screenings with satisfactory resultsOther requirements and qualifications:Able to work an average of 20-40 hours per weekAble to lift 20-50 poundsAble to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per dayAble to use tools necessary for jobCaregivers are not allowed to smoke in clients homesBenefits:Flexible hours, full time work availablePaid mileage reimbursement for client errands and appointmentsPremium Holiday PaySupplemental insurance through Colonial Life Plus Dental and Vision plans401(k) retirement plan with company match (for Eligible employees)Online and Mobile App classes are available 24/7 and offer self-paced study and online testing with immediate scoring12 hours of mandatory annual courseworkReferral bonuses provided for caregivers and clientsHomewatch CareGivers has been a premier provider of home care since 1980, helping to improve the quality of life for those in our communities as well as provide meaningful employment opportunities.
