Assess patient conditions, record changes, and communicate critical updates to the interdisciplinary team to support timely, coordinated care decisions. Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety best practices. Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions, continuity of care, and positive patient outcomes. This role involves caring for non-OB patients presenting to the emergency room, functioning in triage, and assisting clinically around the unit. The position is within a 30-bed emergency department operating within a larger hospital. Site accreditations and specialty care include primary heart attack center, primary stroke center, and level trauma center. Women’s services include a high-risk delivery service performing over 500 deliveries per month with 24-hour in-house coverage. Scrub color is navy blue. The electronic medical record system is Cerner.
