Electronics Component Quality Engineer

Title: Electronics Component Quality Engineer
Location: Camarillo, CA 93012
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000

Founded in the 1980s we employ roughly 200 worldwide, with about 150 employees based at our Camarillo headquarters. We design & manufacture high performance servo drives and motion control solutions used in robotics, medical devices, aerospace, defense, and industrial automation. In Camarillo we focus on engineering, manufacturing, and testing of advanced electronic components and systems that power mission critical applications for global clients. We are seeking an experienced Electronics Component Quality Engineer to lead component evaluations, ensure reliability, and drive product excellence. This role will work closely with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure every part meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead component quality efforts across the product lifecycle, from selection and qualification to field performance
• Perform risk assessments including obsolescence, variability, and sourcing stability for critical components
• Drive DFMEA and PFMEA activities with design, manufacturing, and reliability teams
• Support process validation for new or modified components, processes, and suppliers (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Investigate and resolve complex quality issues using structured problem solving methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)

What You Need for This Position

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or product development, preferably with electronic components
• Hands on experience with FMEA, risk analysis, and process validation
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IPC standards, and component qualification best practices
• Experience with ERP/PLM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Omnify Empower is a plus
