Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely posting and payment of invoices. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start their career in accounting. You will work closely with our accounting team to process invoices, reconcile vendor accounts, and assist with other tasks. Responsibilities Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently Match invoices with purchase orders Verify invoice accuracy, including proper authorization and coding Prepare and perform weekly check runs Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies Assist with month‑end close procedures as needed Provide support to the accounting team with ad‑hoc projects and tasks Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting is a plus, but not required Benefits Competitive hourly wage Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance Paid time off and holiday pay Opportunities for professional development and training Please Note: This is a 100% in‑office position requiring on‑site attendance Monday through Friday, 8:30AM‑5:30PM.
