Contracts Manager

The Opportunity: As a contract manager, you will use your negotiation tactics and organizational skills to manage critical defense missions and acquisition strategies for a global defense team. You will serve as a trusted advisor and creative problem‑solver, supporting all phases of the acquisition life cycle and becoming a business partner with direct influence on decision makers. You will work closely with a collaborative team, mentoring junior staff and contributing to strategic discussions and contract negotiations. What You’ll Work On Perform contract administration functions for Air Force and other DoD clients, including proposal development, cost strategy, modifications, review and negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract compliance. Analyze solicitations for potential risks and recommend proposal strategies, ensuring compliance with requirements and pricing approaches. Provide advice and counsel on risk issues, proposal strategies, and customer relationship management. Negotiate and administer contracts independently with U.S. government customers and subcontracts with contractors of various sizes across contract types. Negotiate teaming, non‑disclosure agreements, and organizational conflict‑of‑interest plans. You Have Experience with contract pre‑proposal efforts, RFP/RFQ support, proposal support and submission, and post‑award contract administration. Experience working directly with industry or government procurement officials. Experience with Cost Plus, Fixed Price, Time and Materials, or Incentive Fee contracts. Experience reviewing terms and conditions and statements of work for risk identification and mitigation. Experience negotiating contracts and agreements with industry partners. Ability to interpret federal regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Ability to manage multiple critical internal and external deadlines. Ability to obtain or maintain a Top Secret clearance. Education: HS diploma or GED with 6+ years of contract management experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience. Nice If You Have Collaboration experience on intellectual property protection, conflicts of interest, and sensitive data protection. Top Secret clearance. NCMA professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CCCM). Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Compensation The projected annual salary range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (USD).
