Clinical Supervisor, Registered Nurse (RN)- Labor & Delivery- Fulltime- Days

This opportunity is full-time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a day shift schedule. There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

Role and Responsibilities

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing activities. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assists the ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician examination/evaluation and transport of inpatient stroke alert to and from CT scan. Performs and documents the NIHSS and bedside swallow, assists with preparation of patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated. Provides care for stroke patients on the unit. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 8 hour online training. Provides shift to shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations. Maintains the environment of care.
Provides care to patients in a competent, capable, caring and efficient manner. Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served. Role models organizational values. Provides real-time feedback to staff to improve performance. Leads/Participates in department process improvement to improve projects outcomes. Facilitates employee engagement activities including professional/shared governance participation.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN required.
• Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care, Women Services specialty nursing. One to
  three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification in specialty preferred
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion
  (current upon hire) as required by specialty.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
