Job Summary:

Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients requiring mental health and behavioral health services. Deliver compassionate, evidence-based interventions to promote recovery and well-being in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients' mental health status through thorough evaluations, including histories and behavioral observations.
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing psychiatric needs, goals, and treatment interventions.
  
  
• 
  Administer psychiatric medications, monitor for side effects, and manage adverse reactions effectively.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to psychiatric crises by employing de-escalation techniques, providing short-term support, and ensuring patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with patients using therapeutic communication skills, fostering trust and understanding.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress, medication administration, and clinical observations accurately within the electronic health record system.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  
  
• 
  Meet the minimum one-year relevant clinical experience in behavioral or psychiatric healthcare.
  
  
• 
  Possess current BLS and CPI certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate ability to assess, plan, and deliver mental health care, including crisis intervention.
  
  
• 
  Show proficiency with patient documentation systems such as Meditech.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong communication and empathetic listening skills, aligned with ICARE and AIDET principles.
