Cybersecurity Engineer and Risk Analyst Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your experience in cybersecurity and security engineering that will safeguard our nation? As an information security risk specialist, you will identify the tools, applications, and systems needed to assess vulnerabilities, recommend solutions, and develop security strategies that protect military operations. On this team you will troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges, apply cybersecurity policy, networks and system infrastructure, and risk management knowledge. You will use curiosity for technology and market trends to research, develop, and implement security solutions. Your expertise in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) will help assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls that closely impact Navy missions. What You’ll Work On Develop relationships quickly and easily, communicating the complexities of security to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection, vulnerability capabilities, and improved event correlation in large enterprises. Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas. Leverage big‑data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise. You Have 3+ years of experience working with the IT systems for a DoD or government agency. 3+ years of experience working with the Navy RMF, including Assessment and Authorization activities, and preparing RMF artifacts and deliverables. 3+ years of experience implementing security controls and policies, performing cybersecurity compliance testing, and conducting vulnerability analysis and remediation. Experience with operating systems, platforms, and technologies including Windows, Linux, cloud, or virtualization. Experience with eMASS and hands‑on processing of packages through workflows. Ability to devise and execute client deliverables and lead tasks from inception to completion. Ability to plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve defenses and maintain a cyber‑resilient network. TS/SCI clearance; DoD 8140 Certification. Bachelor’s degree. Nice If You Have Experience with ACAS, STIG, and Evaluate‑STIG. Experience integrating security into DevOps or DevSecOps pipelines. Experience implementing automation methodologies and processes. Experience deploying, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity tools aligned with current threat landscape. Experience with network engineering functions and security technologies such as firewalls, web proxies, IDS/IPS, scanners, and penetration tools. Experience responding to computer security breaches and reporting. Ability to meet cyber schedule, performance, and quality metrics in development and acquisition life cycles. Master’s degree; OS Certification. Clearance Applicants must undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required. Compensation Salary range: $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 USD (annualized). Compensation is determined by location, qualifications, and contract requirements. Work Model Remote: You may be required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
