Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate II / Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. This role involves working across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems while performing preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery
- Install, modify, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Use electrical/electronic testing and measuring tools for diagnostics
- Operate hand and power tools (drill press, band saw, grinders, hydraulic press, etc.)
- Perform welding, brazing, and cutting as needed
- Work from blueprints, technical manuals, drawings, and work instructions
- Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement and scrap reduction initiatives
- Maintain compliance with lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and safety standards
- Follow quality and environmental systems, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001/45001
- Train and support other maintenance team members when required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
- Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and industrial shop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills
Preferred Skills
- Preventive/predictive maintenance planning experience
- Welding (gas and electric), brazing, and fabrication skills
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise and industrial equipment
- Required use of PPE, including hearing and eye protection
- Standing for extended periods is required
- Steel-toe safety footwear required
