Job Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant Location: Summit, NJ 07901 Employment Type: Part-time | 15–20 hours per week Schedule: Monday & Tuesday: 2:30–6:30 PM Wednesday: 3:00–7:00 PM Thursday or Friday: approximately 3 hours, flexible daytime Occasional flexibility appreciated, as needed Compensation: $35–$40 per hour Start Date: ASAP Requirements Reliable transportation and clean driving record (Mileage reimbursement will be provided for work related driving) Maintain a smoke-free environment Must be authorized to work in the United States Fragrance-free About Our Family We are a warm and caring family of four with days that are filled with school schedules, activities, work commitments, and the everyday rhythm of family life. Key Responsibilities Family Support & Child Assistance After-school pick up and occasional activity drop off Light supervision of afternoon routines: activities, snacks, and homework Assist with kid-related errands Household Management & Organization Create and/or Maintain household organization systems Daily resets and prep home for biweekly cleaners Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas) Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding) Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs Event/holiday/guest prep Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc. Inventory & Errands Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies Manage running household supply lists Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco) Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping Meal Planning & Prep Prep-chef assistance: washing, chopping, thawing & marinating proteins Prep healthy snacks Cook healthy family dinners (as needed) Grocery shopping Follow dietary needs/preferences Kitchen clean-up and maintenance Laundry & Linen Care Wash, fold, and put away laundry, children manage putting their own away Special garment care as needed Weekly linen rotation: change sheets and towels Keep laundry area tidy and well-stocked with supplies Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Occasional deep cleaning of appliances, baseboards, and storage areas Refresh mudroom, entryway, and garage as neededMaintain humidifiers and replace filters on a regular schedule Support ongoing organizational and decluttering projects Administrative & Personal Assistance Manage shared Google Calendar for household and family schedules Coordinate appointments for family members (medical, personal care, activities) Receipt and expense tracking for household purchases Travel planning support (packing lists, logistics, reservations) Vehicle Upkeep Schedule maintenance Fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicles Track registration/insurance Vendor & Property Oversight Oversee cleaners/contractors/landscapers Research/coordinate repairs and quotes Occasionally manage logistical support for additional property in Vermont Seasonal property maintenance Manage outdoor spaces #J-18808-Ljbffr Sage-Haus
