PRN Research Assistant - Overnight, Weekend, and Holidays Part‑time position located at Tranquil Clinical and Research Consulting Services LLC, Webster, TX, US. Reports to the Clinical Director within the Clinical Research Department. Summary The Research Assistant (RA) supports clinical staff and patients in a clinic‑based setting. The RA performs a variety of administrative tasks to assist in the conduct of Phase I‑IV industry‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated clinical trials. Responsibilities include data collection, protocol compliance, patient enrollment, and coordination with study team members. The RA works independently and as part of a team, proactively problem‑solving and maintaining professional relationships with both internal staff and external collaborators. Qualifications Relevant work experience in a clinical environment Ability to work overnight, weekend, and some holidays Knowledge of clinical trials and medical terminology Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Excellent time‑management and social skills Highly motivated with strong attention to detail Professional attitude in an online workspace (proper email etiquette, attendance at remote meetings) Preferred: BLS certification and/or certifications related to clinical practice (medical assistant, medical technician, phlebotomy) Specialized knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to research and clinical trials One to two years experience in human life sciences/biomedical research (physiological, cellular, biochemical, or molecular biology) Preferred educational background: AA/AS or BA/BS in life sciences or equivalent education Work Environment Variable shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends Office‑based with occasional out‑of‑office activity requiring approval Work settings include hospitals, medical clinics, and other medical institutions Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required Night shifts (example: 3 PM‑11 PM, 11 PM‑8 AM) Weekends (depending on study needs) Holidays (depending on study needs) Duties and Responsibilities Prepare for study initiation by assessing feasibility, reviewing protocols, and developing recruitment strategies. Screen and enroll study subjects, verify documentation, obtain informed consent, and ensure proper randomization. Manage study activities and subject compliance, including scheduling visits, monitoring medication adherence, and coordinating study drug distribution. Record data, maintain source documentation, and transmit data to the collection center in a timely manner. Monitor and report adverse events, and maintain regulatory documentation per protocol and regulatory requirements. Prepare for and participate in audits and inspections, providing required documentation and addressing findings.
