Accounting Manager

Chapman/Leonard Studio Equipment is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our day-to-day accounting operations and help drive financial excellence across our organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and leveraging technology to build efficient, accurate financial operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, lead the monthly close process, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and partner with leaders across the organization to support sound financial decision‑making. What You'll Do As our Accounting Manager, you will: Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team. Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, cash management, and general ledger activity. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial close process. Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records. Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation. Partner with operations to maintain accurate inventory and cost accounting. Review vendor payments and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Support annual audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance. Utilize Odoo ERP to improve accounting workflows, automation, and reporting. Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Five (5) or more years of progressive accounting experience. One (1) to two (2) years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience. Experience managing month‑end close processes. Experience working with ERP systems such as Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Preferred Qualifications CPA or progress toward CPA certification. Experience in inventory and cost accounting. Experience with Odoo ERP. Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Expertise in general ledger accounting and reconciliations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Outstanding communication and leadership abilities. A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
