Vice President, Portfolio Operations & Real Estate Integration

Overview
A national NYC real estate owner-developer seeks a VP of Portfolio Operations & Integration reporting directly to the COO. Step in once deals are agreed to and leading cross-functional execution, governance, and process standardization for onboarding/offboarding assets, recapitalizations, and property management transitions (no front-line sourcing or underwriting)
Responsibilities
- Lead post-agreement operational planning and onboarding/offboarding for acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and ownership changes.
- Oversee complex operational shifts, including management changes (in-house vs. third-party), system integrations, vendor contracts, and compliance handoffs.
- Build and maintain standardized enterprise transition playbooks, workplans, and roadmaps.
- Coordinate deliverables across Asset Management, Property Management, Development, Accounting, Legal, IT, and HR to ensure operational readiness.
- Track transaction timelines, manage an enterprise risk log, and provide regular pipeline and readiness updates to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in real estate operations, asset management, transaction management, acquisitions, or property accounting.
- Strong background in multifamily real estate; affordable housing is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional accountability and streamline processes across diverse corporate and operational teams.
