This role works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to help manage quality, documentation, coordination, and financial processes while ensuring projects meet safety, budget, schedule, and performance expectations.The Assistant Project Manager also plays an important role in client communication, subcontractor coordination, and maintaining accurate project records. This position is well suited for a motivated construction professional looking to grow within a respected commercial general contractor.Key Responsibilities Include:Support overall project execution from conception through closeoutServe as a point of contact for clients and participate in ongoing communication and status updatesCollaborate closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to maintain alignment on project goalsAssist with managing project budgets, contracts, change orders, and pay applicationsReview and approve invoices for accuracy and complianceSupport pre-construction efforts including buyout, value engineering, and logistics planningPartner with the Superintendent to develop, update, and distribute project schedulesMonitor progress and identify potential schedule impactsManage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, logs, and plan setsMaintain organized and accurate project recordsPrepare and distribute project status reports to internal and external stakeholdersSupport enforcement of the project safety plan and promote a strong safety cultureAssist with monitoring field safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycleCoordinate punch list activities and closeout requirementsAssist with preparation and delivery of operations and maintenance manuals and final turnover documentationRequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred3–5 years of experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role with a commercial general contractorStrong understanding of commercial construction processes and project management principlesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProven ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teamsEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be consideredMust be living or able to relocate to one of the regional offices.
