MHI is seeking an Entry-Level Dock & Door Technician who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to build a long-term career in the material handling industry. No prior dock and door experience is required-we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of commercial dock and door equipment
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under the guidance of experienced technicians
• Perform preventative maintenance on loading docks, overhead doors, dock levelers, and related equipment
• Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in a clean and organized manner
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
• Support senior technicians on service calls and projects

• Maintain accurate and timely service documentation

Background & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required
• Prior experience in construction, maintenance, automotive, industrial, or mechanical work is a plus
• Ability to lift, carry, and work with tools and equipment safely
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
