This opportunity is for a Pharmacist to join a major Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital known for providing quality patient care through a large health system, including ambulatory care clinics and multiple hospitals. This contract role supports pharmacy operations at a well-respected medical center with potential for long-term engagement and career advancement within the public health sector.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage inpatient medications accurately and safely in a hospital setting
• Review and verify physician orders for appropriateness and clinical relevance
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Maintain knowledge of drug therapy protocols and hospital policies
• Comply with regulatory and institutional guidelines for medication management

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active registration
• Completion of a PGY-1 residency program highly preferred, or approximately 2 years of current inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong clinical knowledge of inpatient medication use and safety standards
• Ability to pass a competency examination on the first attempt
• Commitment to quality patient care and teamwork
