Your key responsibilities will include:* Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.* Providing direct patient care and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, adhering to the state practice act.* Documenting evaluations, progress notes, and other required information accurately and timely, complying with regulatory standards.* Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team (supervisor, nurses, other therapists) to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.* Participating in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences.* Training nursing staff and patient families on restorative programs and caregiver techniques for a smooth transition to home.* Recommending and facilitating the acquisition of necessary durable medical equipment (DME) to promote patient independence.* Participating in discharge planning to ensure a safe and successful return to the highest possible level of function.* Assisting with in-service training programs for other staff within the facility.* Ensuring department equipment is maintained in good working order by reporting any issues promptly.What we're looking for* Valid Occupational Therapy license* Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment* Dedication to continuous learning and professional growthIf you're an Occupational Therapist seeking a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to positively impact patients' lives, apply to join the Vasona Creek Healthcare team today!
