Financial Aid And Veterans Benefits AdvisorUnder the general supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, this position advises military veterans on the application process for obtaining federal and state military benefits and coordinates the packaging of said aid. In addition, this position will also advise and package financial aid for non-military applicants.Qualifications include an associate's degree in a related field or appropriate experience working in the Financial Aid or Veterans Affairs field; demonstrated effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite and a proprietary information system; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills; and proven analytical skills. A bachelor's degree, professional experience in a Financial Aid office, demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to manage and explain the complex state and federal regulations that govern financial aid and veteran educational benefits, previous experience working directly with Ellucian's Colleague student information system, availability to travel to comply with training requirements or provide outreach and recruitment support, and ability to work a flexible schedule are preferred.Application process includes completing an online application by including a resume, applicable transcripts, and cover letter specifically addressing how your qualifications meet the duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description.
