Sterile Processing Technician

The position requires an experienced Sterile Processing Technician. Candidates should have supply knowledge and be able to pick cases. Self-motivated individuals who work well as team players are preferred. The role involves working in a Sterile Processing department that specializes in various surgical specialties. The average surgical case volume is 65 per day. The average daily tray volume is 1200. Technicians will work rotating weekends as specified in their contract. The successful candidate will receive adequate training and must comply with all departmental policies and procedures. Floating between different units may be required as per departmental needs. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays. References covering relevant experience within the last three years are required. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as necessary. Robust documentation knowledge in related instrumentation management systems is essential for this position.
