Production Supervisor - 2nd ShiftThis position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance may be available.This role is critical to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, including workforce management, process optimization, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, meeting production targets, and supporting strategic initiatives that align with our long-term business goals.You'll make an impact by:Leading, planning, and managing daily production activities to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) targets.Supervising and developing a team of production associates, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and accountability.Championing 6S, Safety, and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and taking corrective actions as needed.Optimizing labor and equipment utilization to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.Utilizing the Tier Meeting process to track and assess key operational metrics and implement actions and methods to improve operational performance.Directing day-to-day activities in production areas, including manpower movement, job assignments, time/attendance/vacation data, and pulling the workload to meet all customer needs in the most effective manner.Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.Supporting new product introductions and engineering changes by coordinating resources and ensuring readiness on the production floor.Analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.Maintaining accurate records of production activities, labor hours, and material usage in SAP.Managing production order workflows and updates in Salesforce.com.Overseeing time and attendance tracking using Dayforce, ensuring accurate payroll and compliance.Participating in internal and external audits, customer visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Promoting a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation across the team.You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production setting.Working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing context.Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and 5S implementation.Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in switchboard or electrical equipment assembly and manufacturingTechnical training or certifications in manufacturing, operations, or lean methodologies.Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Certification.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
