Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference every day by supporting students as a valued paraprofessional in an engaging center-based special education program. This contract role offers the chance to work closely with K-12th grade students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment near Belding, MI. The position begins August 13, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, with a consistent weekday schedule of 7.25 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with special education students is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting
• Reliability and a collaborative approach with educators and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with diverse needs under the guidance of classroom teachers and special education professionals
• Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and learning activities
• Help maintain a safe, encouraging, and structured classroom environment
• Offer one-on-one or small group assistance as needed to address academic, behavioral, or physical challenges
• Support students’ social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and guidance
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure students’ needs are met throughout the school day
