Occupational Therapist (OT) SIGN ON BONUS

Full‑Time Occupational Therapist (OT) Pay: $105,000 to $125,000 per year Required Qualifications: Licensed Occupational Therapist in Virginia, or applicable state. Graduate of an ACOTE‑accredited occupational therapy program. Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT entry‑level certification exam. Preferred two years of occupational therapy experience; home health experience preferred. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and organization skills. Strong computer skills; familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Matrix Care. Job Responsibilities: Evaluates patient functional status and home environment for hazards, identifies equipment needs, and participates in care plan development. Performs work capacity evaluations for patients planning to return to work and may refer to specialized training. Develops treatment programs and establishes goals for improved function; communicates plan of care to physician and organization professionals. Teaches new skills or retrains patients in daily activities lost due to illness or injury. Fabricates splints and instructs patients in use of adaptive equipment. Trains patients in use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices. Maintains clinical records, notes, and summary reports; reports changes in patient condition to physician per policy. Maintains contact with other personnel involved in patient care to coordinate efficient care. Attends and contributes to in‑services, case conferences, and other meetings for coordinated, comprehensive care plans. Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other home health services and refers appropriately. Instructs patient family/caregiver and other health personnel in patient’s treatment regimen when indicated. Participates in discharge planning for patients.
