Key Responsibilities

• Gather and verify all necessary demographic and insurance information to admit or pre-admit patients, adhering to state and federal guidelines with a high accuracy rate.
• Notify financial counselors about private pay or uncertain insurance cases.
• Distribute admission paperwork promptly to relevant departments and staff.
• Assist with patient transport as needed.
• Collect co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles according to insurance contracts and eligibility programs, and handle daily deposits.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.

Education and Experience

No formal education is required, but familiarity with medical terminology and prior clerical or computer experience is preferred.
