Description

American Traveler is hiring a weekend CT Technologist with ARRT certification to perform CT and X-ray imaging on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.

Details

• Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-ray procedures
• Patient population ranges from neonatal to geriatric
• 4x10-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required upon hire
• ARRT certification required or eligible upon hire
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• At least one advanced modality license with ARRT
• 2 years of experience in CT or X-ray preferred
• Venipuncture experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform CT and X-ray procedures according to protocol under the supervision of a Radiologist
• Provide optimal diagnostic quality imaging while following established imaging and viewing protocols
• Interact with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures
• Review patient charts for missed clinical information and screen for surgical implants, allergies, and consent
• Coordinate scan protocols with the Radiologist and serve as a clinical resource for other technologists
• Transfer and position patients for examinations according to physician specifications and safety standards
• Practice sterile technique to prevent cross contamination
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, and effective in a team environment
• Local candidates not accepted, must reside outside a 120 mile radius
