Your main responsibilities will center on overseeing the special education process from initial screening through identification, IEP development, and ongoing placement of students with disabilities. You will be instrumental in implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) while ensuring compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements. You’ll stay organized—managing evaluation reports, reviewing IEP documents, and keeping student records up-to-date and compliant. Collaborating with principals, department heads, and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help foster the integration of all students into general education classrooms where appropriate, making a tangible impact on their academic experiences.

Key Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico teaching certificate in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
• Strong understanding of IDEA guidelines and compliance practices
• Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
