Manufacturing Quality Technician

Location: Chicago Heights, IL - On-site

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Manufacturing Quality Technician for our steel processing industry client to start immediately at $25.00/hour. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!

Responsibilities

Optimize spectrometers, Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES) metal analyzers for alloy measurements
Determine appropriate alloy standards and reference materials for measurements
Verify chemistries of produced alloys and incoming/outgoing materials, including alloys with Si, Mg, Mn, and Ti
Maintain and verify lab equipment functionality
Visually inspect aluminum alloy ingots and sows for surface condition and quality, verify printed label weights

Qualifications

High School Diploma required
Experience working within a manufacturing operation preferred
Professional communication skills for collaboration with departments and team members
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in metal chemistry, scrap handling, and melt practices
Desired: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, or related field
