Senior Quality Assurance Technician (CMM Inspection)
Location: Irvine, CA 92618 (Onsite) Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Contract (12 Months) Target Start Date: End of August 2026
ATR International is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Technician on behalf of our client, Diality, in Irvine, CA. This role will serve as the second Quality Inspection resource supporting the team, working alongside an existing ATR-placed inspector.
About the Role
This position requires a hands-on quality inspector who can work independently — reading a drawing, determining the right inspection approach, and measuring both simple and complex parts without needing to hand work off to someone else. Strong CMM experience is essential; this is not a caliper-and-micrometer-only role.
What You'll Do
- Independently inspect both simple and complex parts against engineering drawings
- Operate CMM and other automated/advanced inspection equipment
- Interpret drawings and determine the correct measurement and inspection methodology
- Complete and sign off on inspection work independently
- Document inspection results accurately in electronic and manual quality systems
- Maintain pace and accuracy in a fast-moving production environment
What You'll Bring
- Advanced CMM inspection experience — hands-on use of CMM or other automated inspection equipment (not limited to basic hand tools)
- Independent inspection capability — proven ability to take a drawing and part and determine the inspection approach without heavy supervision
- Computer/ERP proficiency — comfort with electronic inspection records and ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
