Labor & Employment Attorney - Defense, to $195k (Am100 - REMOTE)
Responsibilities
- Manage single-plaintiff FEHA cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
- Conduct thorough legal research and produce high-quality written deliverables.
- Represent the law firm’s clients primarily in state court, with some federal court involvement.
- Address occasional wage and hour issues related to FEHA cases.
- Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license required.
- Experience in employment litigation, with a focus on FEHA cases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with the team.
- Familiarity with federal employment laws is advantageous but not required.
Details
- Location: California - Remote flexibility offered, but must be local to CA, with occasional in-office appearances in Irvine, Los Angeles, Ontario, Oxnard, San Francisco, Fresno, Sacramento, Carlsbad, San Diego, Walnut Creek.
- Compensation: Base salary of $130,000 - $195,000 (commensurate with experience), plus bonus.
- Billing / hours: 1900.
