In order to be considered for this position, the following steps are required: Must have High School Diploma or GED Interview with a member of the Human Resources team Candidates selected through the interview process will then participate in a new hire orientation No applicant may start as a substitute until the hiring and orientation process is complete. Job Description TITLE: Substitute Cafeteria Aide Qualifications Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate Has the ability to read and follow written directions Has the ability to stand and walk continuously for a period of at least two hours Has demonstrated the ability or potential to communicate and work effectively with students and staff Reports to: Principal Job Goal Supervise the cafeteria during lunchtime Performance Responsibilities Be familiar with and follow written policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities Assist students in finding seats Monitor the conduct and manners of students Assist students in opening milk cartons, thermos, etc. Give permission to students needing to be excused to go to restroom Remind children, when necessary, to leave eating area clean and orderly Give students a warning for first minor inappropriate behavior Notify the principal when extreme misconduct occurs Report to the principal any concerns for improving the dining pleasure of all students Assist students in lining up when lunch period is overPerform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor Terms of Employment As Needed Daily assignments are arranged through the Secretary, Teacher, Frontline, or Principal #J-18808-Ljbffr Boone County Schools
