As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk.How you will create an impactWe are seeking a dynamic Senior Actuarial Analyst to assist with pricing the US Programs business. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will help elevate the technical capabilities of the underwriting team through dynamic work projects such as new program due diligence & onboarding, rate filings, rate studies, price monitoring, trend analyses, and building out portfolio management tools. The individual will be a trusted business partner, working with groups such as underwriting and product development to understand account decision making and pricing practices to support Programs in ensuring profitable growth. This will also be an external/client facing role as the actuary will engage with MGA Underwriters and Actuaries. Our actuaries work closely with our MGA partners providing insight and tool assistance as a value add for our business.Work closely with underwriting to develop pricing and underwriting strategies, and assist in the execution and monitoring of said strategiesComplete profitability studies on assigned programs and present analysis in front of business partners at varying levels of the organizationPerform due diligence analyses for prospective business and support onboarding for approved programsEngage with MGA underwriters and actuariesVarious ad hoc pricing tasks including profitability studies, development of new products, rate and other KPI monitoring, and filings supportWork with the underwriters and rate filings unit to manage program specific and state rate filingsProduce and distribute relevant recurring reports as requiredSupport development and maintenance of pricing tools such as pricing models, raters, and other analytical tools.What we're looking for3+ CAS examsProgramming proficiency required (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA, R, etc)2+ years of pricing experience across a broad array of commercial lines, including: property, auto, general liability, and professional liabilityFamiliarity with AI tools a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and can work independently and as part of a teamStrong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demandsEffective time management skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Customer focusThe base salary range for this position is $108,00-$134,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
