Medical Edge is currently hiring a Cat Scan Technician (CT) on behalf of one of our valued healthcare clients.


As a Cat Scan Technician (CT) , you'll play an important role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will contribute directly to accurate diagnoses and positive patient experiences.


A Cat Scan Technician (CT) who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician orders.
• Educates patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitors patient condition and responds appropriately to changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies, implements safety standards, and performs quality control checks.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions.
• Positions patients and performs CT imaging procedures.
• Analyzes imaging results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures when necessary.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results accurately.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position.

• Education: Associate's Degree required.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• License/Certification: ARRT certification with additional certification in CT. Candidates who are not currently CT certified must obtain CT certification within one year of their date of hire or transfer into the position.
