Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with post-operative care preferred
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced inpatient hospital setting
• Ability to provide safe, independent patient care with strong assessment skills
• Experience with telemetry and surgical patient populations is a plus
• Willingness to float to related medical/surgical and telemetry units as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
• Manage post-operative patients and support recovery through evidence-based care
• Perform and assist with procedures such as ostomy care, NGT management, Foley catheter care, central line maintenance, JP drain care, wound management, IV starts, and blood administration
• Administer nutritional support, including TPN and G/J tube-related care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and follow unit protocols
• Maintain a professional appearance in the required uniform
