Summary 

The Physician Ambassador is a critical role within the Real Radiology model and a key differentiator in the physician experience. Serving as a dedicated advocate for the Radiologist and a trusted liaison between the Radiologist and the company, the Physician Ambassador is responsible for delivering an exceptional, personalized, and consistently reliable experience.

The role is centered on building strong, long-term relationships with Radiologists while proactively anticipating and addressing their needs. Key responsibilities include onboarding new Radiologists, supporting day-to-day needs, coordinating across internal departments, resolving and mitigating issues, forecasting future needs, and ensuring seamless communication and follow-through. Through a high-touch, service-oriented approach, the Physician Ambassador helps create a top-tier experience that strengthens physician engagement, satisfaction, and partnership with Real Radiology.

Job Functions

• Serve as the primary, trusted point of contact for Radiologists, proactively coordinating on scheduling, case mix and workload questions, compensation questions, productivity metrics, and quality assurance items before they escalate
• Own onboarding and orientation for new radiologists, ensuring a smooth, professional start to their independent contractor (1099) relationship with the organization
• Partner with the Licensing and Credentialing team to track required licenses and certifications, flagging renewals proactively to prevent lapses
• Anticipate Radiologist needs and independently resolve issues, escalating to leadership only when necessary
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Scheduling, IT, Accounting, Credentialing, and Leadership to represent Radiologist needs internally and resolve issues quickly
• Communicate proactively, keeping Radiologists informed of relevant updates and responding to inquiries promptly and professionally
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend process improvements to leadership
• Independently manage projects and special assignments, planning ahead and following through with minimal oversight

• Self-sufficient and proactive, with the ability to plan ahead and anticipate needs before they arise
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with physicians and leadership alike
• Strong computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Physicians and internal partners
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive physician information
• Adaptable, collaborative, and team-first mindset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a resourceful and solutions-oriented approach.

Qualifications Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare, customer service, hospitality or office admin setting preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general business/computer applications
