Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend (Friday/Saturday) required.

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) settings. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care and support to critically ill pediatric patients, along with performing necessary procedures and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care including blood gas analysis and respiratory therapy treatments.
• Manage ventilators, BiPAPs, and high-flow nasal cannula therapies.
• Respond to codes and participate in in-house transports of patients.
• Perform medication administration and chest physiotherapy.
• Float between pediatric units as necessary and may assist adult units when needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in PICU/NICU.
• Active NJ license or compact license required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS and NBRC required.
• Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) must be obtained onsite.
