Details Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a hospital setting Care for pediatric patients including those with congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, and post cardiac catheterization needs Patient ratio of 1:2 Epic charting system experience preferred Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM Required to work every other weekend Floating required Requirements Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand Current BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum of 1 year of experience required Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred LTAC experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration Skills in ventilator management, care of ventilated patients, and arterial line management required Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management preferred Experience with ECMO, VAD, and post cardiac surgery care preferred Experience with CRRT, EVD, and ICP monitoring preferred Additional Information Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting Orientation sessions occur on a bi-weekly basis Candidates residing within a 75-mile radius are accepted at a local rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates with previous permanent employment at this health system must disclose this history and must not have been a permanent employee within the past 6 months Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31 - March 31) with no exemptions RTO must be limited to a maximum of 5-7 days American Traveler Job ID P-740117.
