Senior Civil Design Engineer (Data Centers)

Please Note: This position is intended for site/civil engineers with direct experience delivering AI, Hyperscale, Colocation data centers, semiconductor facilities, advanced manufacturing campuses, or large-scale comparable mission-critical industrial projects. Experience limited to residential development, commercial site development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, retail, education, government, or other conventional land development projects will generally not be considered equivalent to the mission-critical infrastructure experience required for this role. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience supporting large-scale utility-intensive developments where reliability, redundancy, resiliency, and long-term campus expansion planning are critical project drivers.

Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group, and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, prepare grading plans, and perform earthwork and drainage/stormwater calculations. As a Civil Engineer in Advanced Manufacturing, some of your key contributions will include:

• Site development, site master planning and site selection

• Underground utility routing and site space planning

• Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems

• Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems

• Performing final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing

• Providing erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support permit approval

• Researching and adhering to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction in any given area

• Stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications, such as StormCAD, CivilStorm

Required Background: Successful candidates will possess direct experience managing the planning, design, engineering, construction, commissioning, or expansion of AI, Hyperscale, or Colocation data center facilities. Candidates with experience supporting other mission-critical environments, such as semiconductor fabrication facilities, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or heavy industrial projects with complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure, may also be considered. Experience limited to transportation, commercial, light industrial, government, institutional, or conventional building projects may not provide the specialized expertise required for this role. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated success delivering AI, Hyperscale, or Colocation data center projects.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• PE license or ability to get licensed within 6 months

• 15 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience

• Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments

• Ability to perform project discipline lead responsibilities on complex, multi-disciplinary projects and direct the engineering design within the civil team

• Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Experience preparing, assembling, and reviewing construction drawings and technical specifications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Ideally, you'll have:

Bluebeam experience

Experience using Navisworks
