Surgical Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular

Role: Provides specialized adult cardiovascular and thoracic healthcare services in collaboration with supervising physicians, focusing on diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities Assist in the cardiovascular operating room as an Operating Room based Physician Assistant. Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and deliver patient care. Manage conditions through prescriptive authority or referrals, and educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options. Document healthcare delivery in line with specialty standards and participate in staff and student education. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Board-certified Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority, credentialed by the relevant medical board, and at least 1 year of cardiothoracic surgical assisting experience. Proficient in endoscopic and open conduit harvest techniques. Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Sensitive and confidential communication skills. Strong teamwork abilities with physicians and healthcare providers. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
