Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Senior (10+ years) About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee . The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in civil litigation and trial work , with a strong background in medical malpractice defense . This role is designed for an attorney who thrives in the courtroom, can manage complex cases from inception through verdict, and is ready to take a leadership role within a dynamic legal team. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of complex litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trials. Serve as lead trial counsel in medical malpractice and other civil defense cases. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and paralegals. Participate in firm strategy meetings and contribute to business development initiatives. Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Tennessee (in good standing). 10+ years of litigation and trial experience , with a proven record of first-chair trial success. Demonstrated experience in medical malpractice defense is required. Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
