Quality Engineer

Overview We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Quality Engineer ! This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to launch a career in automotive quality. The Quality Engineer will work alongside experienced engineers to ensure product quality, support manufacturing operations, resolve customer concerns, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Support product quality and ensure conformity to customer specifications Assist in investigating customer concerns using structured problem-solving methods (5 Why, 8D, A3, PDCA) Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions Support internal quality systems and documentation Assist manufacturing teams with quality-related issues on the production floor Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Support PFMEA development and Control Plan updates Assist with process audits and quality inspections Collect, analyze, and report quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve processes and product quality Participate in customer and internal meetings as needed Travel occasionally to customer or supplier locations, if required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering Internship, co-op, senior design project, or hands-on manufacturing experience preferred Basic understanding of quality tools such as: Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Charts, Control Plans, PFMEA Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow Preferred Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or automotive Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts Familiarity with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 quality systems Experience using basic measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges #J-18808-Ljbffr
